in the autunm cold湘江北去，On the tip of Orange Island,橘子洲头。The Hsiang flowing northward;看万山红遍，I see a thousand hills crimsoned through层林尽染；By their serried woods deep-dyed漫江碧透，And a hundred barges vying百舸争流。Over crystal blue waters.鹰击长空，Eagles cleave the air,鱼翔浅底，Fish glide in the limpid deep;万类霜天竞自由。Under freezing skies a million creatures contend in freedom.怅寥廓，Brooding over this immensity,问苍茫大地，I ask, on this boundless land谁主沉浮？Who rules over man’s destiny?携来百侣曾游。I was here with a throng of companions,忆往昔峥嵘岁月稠。Vivid yet those crowded months and years.恰同学少年，Young we were, schoolmates,风华正茂；At life’s full flowering;书生意气，Filled with student enthusiasm挥斥方遒。Boldly we cast all restraints aside.指点江山，Pointing to our mountains and rivers,激扬文字，Setting people afire with our fair.俏也不争春，Sweet and fair, she craves not Spring for herself alone,只把春来报。To be the harbinger of Spring she is content.待到山花烂漫时，When the mountain flowers are in full bloom她在丛中笑。She will smile mingling in their midst.4.  采桑子  重阳The Double Ninth人生易老天难老,Man ages all too easily, not Nature岁岁重阳,今又重阳;Year by year the Double Ninth returns.战地黄花分外香。On this Double Ninth,The yellow blooms on the battle field smell sweeter.一年一度秋风劲,Each year the autumn wind blow fierce,不似春光，胜似春光。Unlike strings splendour,Yet surpassing springs splendour,寥廓江天万里霜。See the endless expanse of frosty sky and water. 5.  菩萨蛮  大柏地Dabodi赤橙黄绿青蓝紫，Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet 谁持彩练当空舞？Who is dancing, waving this colored ribbon against the sky?雨后复斜阳，The sun returns slanting after the rain关山阵阵苍。And hill and pass grow a deeper blue.    当年鏖战急， A furious battle once raged here,弹洞前村壁。The village walls, bullet-scarred.装点此关山， Now adorn hill and pass,今朝更好看。And make them doubly fair.6.   忆秦娥  娄山关Loushan Pass西风烈, roll by, globules of clay.金沙水拍云崖暖，大渡桥横铁索寒。Warm the steep cliffs lapped by the water of Jinsha,Cold the iron chains spanning the Dadu River.更喜岷山千里雪，三军过后尽开颜。Min Mountains thousand li of snow joyously the Great River.虎踞龙盘今胜昔，天翻地覆慨而慷。The city, a tiger crouching, a dragon curling, outshining its ancient glory;In heroic triumph heaven and earth have been overturned宜将胜勇追穷寇，不可沽名学霸王。With power and to become mulberry fields.9.   蝶恋花  答李淑一Reply to Li Shuyi我失骄杨君失柳，I lost my proud Poplar and you your Willow,杨柳轻扬直上重霄九。Poplar and Willow soar to the Ninth Heaven.问讯吴刚何所有，Wu Gang, asked what he can give,吴刚捧出桂花酒。Serves them a laurel brew.寂寞嫦娥舒广袖， The lonely moon goddess spreads her ample sleeves万里长空且为忠魂舞。To dance for these loyal souls in infinite space.忽报人间曾伏虎，Earth suddenly reports the tiger subdued,泪飞顿作倾盆雨。Tears of joy pour forth falling as mighty rain.10.  水调歌头  重上井冈山Reascending Jinggang Mountain久有凌云志，重上井冈山。I have long aspired to reach for the cloudsAnd I again ascend Jinggang Mountain.千里来寻故地，旧貌变新颜。Coming from afar to view our old haunt,I find new scenes replacing the old.到处莺歌燕舞，更有潺潺流水，高路入云端。Everywhere orioles sing, swallows dart, Streams babbleAnd the road mount skyward.过了黄洋界，险处不须看。Once Huangyanggai is passed , No other perilous place calls for a glance.风雷动，旌旗奋，是人寰。Wind and thunder are stirring, Flags and banners are flyingWherever men live.三十八年过去，弹指一挥间。Thirty-eight years are fledWith a mere snap of the fingers.可上九天揽月，可下五洋捉鳖，谈笑凯歌还。We can clasp the moon in the Ninth HeavenAnd seize turtles deep down in the Five Seas:世上无难事，只要肯登攀。Nothing is hard in this world , if you dare to scale the heights.
